Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists traffic on Route 48 (Jacks Run Road) will be restricted to a single lane alternating use between Route 2035 (McKee Road) and Payne Street in the borough of White Oak, Allegheny County, on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
The restriction will only occur from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday. Crews will be installing guide rail. Flag crews will be used to control traffic movements. Motorists are advised to use caution, allow extra time and be prepared for changing traffic patterns and stop conditions when traveling in the area.
The work is part of a $672,218 project to replace the bridge that carries State Route 2033 (McClintock Road) over Jack’s Run near the intersection with Route 48. The project also includes roadway improvements. Route 2033 (McClintock Road) is currently closed to traffic between Route 48 (Jack’s Run Road) and Muse Lane. The bridge will remain closed through mid October 2008. The prime contractor for the project is the Five-R Excavating of New Florence, PA.
