Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists bridge inspection activities will occur next week on the Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885), Route 28, and the Parkway East (I-376) in Allegheny County. All work and restrictions will only occur between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations:
- Monday, June 2, 2008 – Boulevard of the Allies, City of Pittsburgh
- Closure of the right southbound (outbound toward Oakland) lane between the Liberty Bridge and the Parkway East
- Tuesday, June 3, 2008 – Northbound Route 28, Sharpsburg Borough
- Bridge inspection of the bridge carrying Route 28 northbound over Pine Creek and the 62nd bridge approaches. Right lane closures will take place.
- Wednesday, June 4, 2008 – Parkway East, Monroeville
- Bridge inspection of the bridge carrying I-376 over Old William Penn Highway. The eastbound right lane will be closed in the morning and the westbound right lane will be closed in the afternoon.
All inspections will be carried out by personnel of the PennDOT District 11 Bridge Inspection Unit. Traffic will be maintained by traffic control devices. Motorists should be aware of narrow lane widths and use caution while traveling through these work zone areas.
