Indianapolis International Airport is in store for a number of new restaurants, beverage and retail establishments coming in late 2008. Continuing the trend to bring local venues to the airport, three Indianapolis favorite will be coming to the airport: King David Dogs, 96th Street Steakburgers, and Patachou on the Fly. Also coming are more Starbucks locations, a Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express and two retail outfits, offering travels merchandise and accessories and sun glasses.

King David Dogs and 96th Street Steakburgers among local offerings
BETHESDA, Md. (July 16, 2008) − HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in travel dining and shopping, and joint venture partner MPL Partners, a local Indiana minority business enterprise, today announced a 10-year contract award for nine concessions in the new terminal at Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The contract expands HMSHost's presence at IND where it currently operates two popular Starbucks Coffee locations.
Scheduled to open in late October 2008, the new food, beverage and retail venues include local Indianapolis favorites King David Dogs, 96th Street Steakburgers, and Patachou on the Fly. National brands to be added include three new Starbucks Coffee shops and a Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express. HMSHost’s Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partner Ralph D. Glenn of RDG Concessions will operate two specialty retail stores: Pacific Outfitters and Shades & Times.“HMSHost has been a great concessions partner, providing our travelers the brands they’ve come to expect in airport dining and shopping. • King David Dogs - This beloved Indianapolis restaurant has a rich and important history in the community. The downtown Indianapolis location is popular among gourmet hot dog devotees as well as the old-timers in the city who remember the company in its early days. The new Airport location will serve passengers on Concourse B.
• 96th Street Steakburgers - “One of the best burgers to try before you die” and “Perfection with ground steak.” That is how AOL City Guide refers to Indianapolis’ sleek new burger emporium, 96th Street Steakburgers. When locals want a top-notch juicy burger, they make a pilgrimage to this retro cool, quick service hamburger joint. 96th Street Steakburgers will serve passengers on Concourse A at the new Airport.
• Patachou On The Fly - The airport version of Café Patachou, the quintessential beloved neighborhood restaurant featuring French bistro cuisine, is one of the most popular and frequented establishments in Indiana and is coming to serve passengers from the Airport’s Civic Plaza. For 15 years running, Indianapolis Monthly Magazine has voted Café Patachou “Best Place for Breakfast” and it won a coveted place on Bon Appétit Magazine’s “Favorite Places for Breakfast in the Nation.”
• Starbucks Coffee - The finest purveyor of coffee in the world and the brand that coffee drinkers rely on for exceptional quality, Starbucks offers passengers fast and convenient access to their favorite beverages -- including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffees, and Frappuccinos® -- in addition to a variety of fresh pastries, sandwiches, and salads. • Pacific Outfitters - Offering a selection of innovative, high-quality merchandise that is perfect for today’s hip, tech-savvy traveler, brand names such as Samsonite, Kipling, and Victorinox Swiss Army will be found in the Pacific Outfitters store. Pacific Outfitters will serve passengers on Concourse B.
• Shades & Times - Focusing on the fashion-conscious consumer, Shades & Times caters to young fashion and luxury minded customers with its selection of sunglasses from top name brands such as Sean John, Fendi, Gucci, Ray Ban and Prada with watch brands including Anne Klein, DKNY, Pierre Cardin, Swiss Army and Tissot. The new Airport location will serve passengers on Concourse A.
