Summer Music Series at SFO Entertains Travelers and Employees

SAN FRANCISCO (June 27, 2008) -- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is kicking off summer vacation with a concert series for travelers on Fridays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. beginning June 27 th through August 29 th. From soothing classical to hip-shaking Brazilian beats, from rocking Cajun R& B to foot-tapping jazz, You Are Hear at SFO will feature the Bay Area’s best world-class musicians performing throughout the airport.
“We’re bringing a taste of San Francisco’s diverse, world-class music scene to SFO to help jump-start summer vacation for our travelers,” said John L. Martin, Airport Director. “ Summer is when we relax and spend extra time with family and friends. Live music ties it all together - and we hope people enjoy themselves as they pass through the Airport on their way to vacation.”SFO is the only Bay Area airport, and one of only a handful of airports across the country, that is bringing live music to travelers. The concert series will kick off Friday, June 27 th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. with LaVay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers in Terminal 3 at the United Airlines hub; Smith Dobson V in the Main Lobby of the International Terminal; and Quinteto Latino in Terminal 1 on the mezzanine bridge pre-security.
