The Captain John J. McKenna IV Military Courtesy Room to open soon at Albany International Airport (ALB)
Albany International Airport (ALB) - January 27, 2010 - The Captain John J. McKenna IV Military Courtesy Room, which will open within a month, will provide a space for military personnel to gather and relax while traveling through Albany International Airport. Captain McKenna was killed in Fallujah, Iraq while trying to aid an injured Marine in his platoon, and the room and the organization supporting it is named in his memory. The organization will also supply support services for those service people in need. Their aim is to provide phone service, internet, media entertainment and snacks to every soldier, sailor, airman/airwoman and marine who are transiting through Albany Airport, according to their web site. If you would like to learn more about Captain McKenna or the Courtesy room, volunteer your time, or offer donations, please visit the website: http://www.jmckennamilitarycourtesyroom.org/Home.html
