Indianapolis International Airport to Get 3 Local Restaurants and More Dining and Retail Venues

Indianapolis International Airport is in store for a number of new restaurants, beverage and retail establishments coming in late 2008. Continuing the trend to bring local venues to the airport, three Indianapolis favorite will be coming to the airport: King David Dogs, 96th Street Steakburgers, and Patachou on the Fly. Also coming are more Starbucks locations, a Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express and two retail outfits, offering travels merchandise and accessories and sun glasses.

HMSHOST AWARDED 10-YEAR CONTRACT TO BRING TRAVELER FAVORITES TO INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
King David Dogs and 96th Street Steakburgers among local offerings

BETHESDA, Md. (July 16, 2008) − HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in travel dining and shopping, and joint venture partner MPL Partners, a local Indiana minority business enterprise, today announced a 10-year contract award for nine concessions in the new terminal at Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The contract expands HMSHost's presence at IND where it currently operates two popular Starbucks Coffee locations.

Scheduled to open in late October 2008, the new food, beverage and retail venues include local Indianapolis favorites King David Dogs, 96th Street Steakburgers, and Patachou on the Fly. National brands to be added include three new Starbucks Coffee shops and a Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express. HMSHost’s Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partner Ralph D. Glenn of RDG Concessions will operate two specialty retail stores: Pacific Outfitters and Shades & Times.

• King David Dogs - This beloved Indianapolis restaurant has a rich and important history in the community. The downtown Indianapolis location is popular among gourmet hot dog devotees as well as the old-timers in the city who remember the company in its early days. The new Airport location will serve passengers on Concourse B.
• 96th Street Steakburgers - “One of the best burgers to try before you die” and “Perfection with ground steak.” That is how AOL City Guide refers to Indianapolis’ sleek new burger emporium, 96th Street Steakburgers. When locals want a top-notch juicy burger, they make a pilgrimage to this retro cool, quick service hamburger joint. 96th Street Steakburgers will serve passengers on Concourse A at the new Airport.
• Patachou On The Fly - The airport version of Café Patachou, the quintessential beloved neighborhood restaurant featuring French bistro cuisine, is one of the most popular and frequented establishments in Indiana and is coming to serve passengers from the Airport’s Civic Plaza. For 15 years running, Indianapolis Monthly Magazine has voted Café Patachou “Best Place for Breakfast” and it won a coveted place on Bon Appétit Magazine’s “Favorite Places for Breakfast in the Nation.”

New Restaurants and a Wine Bar are Coming to Lambert - St. Louis International Airport

Lambert - St. Louis International Airport will soon have some additional restaurants and a wine bar for travelers to enjoy during connections, flight delays, layovers or while otherwise waiting for a flight. The new offerings will be Mosaics Tapas Fusion, The Pasta House Co, Brioche Dorée and Fitz's Root Beer. Also, coming in early 2009 will be the Missouri Wine Bar which is another welcome addition to the every growing opportunities to sample local and regional wines while at the airport.

HMSHOST DELIVERS LOCAL BRANDS TO LAMBERT-ST. LOUIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TRAVELERS

BETHESDA, MD (July 15, 2008) – New local restaurant brands are on their way to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in travel venue dining and shopping, and its joint venture partners D&D Concessions LLC, will bring Mosaics Tapas Fusion, The Pasta House Co, and Fitz’s Root Beer as part of a lease extension award to provide food and beverage concessions at the airport through 2020. During the remaining 12-year contract, the company will spend nearly $16 million to introduce more local and upscale dining venues as part of the airport’s initiative to improve the passenger experience. Currently under construction are The Pasta House Co., scheduled to open this fall, and Missouri Wine Bar and Brioche Dorée Café, opening by early 2009. Other new locations will begin construction and open throughout 2009 and early 2010.

“By extending our relationship with HMSHost, we are giving travelers more choices and a more authentic St. Louis dining experience at the airport,” said Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Director Richard Hrabko. “Restaurants such as Mosaics Tapas Fusion are redefining St. Louis cuisine and now they will help redefine our concession program.”

The new upscale and local favorite dining venues include:

Mosaics Tapas Fusion: Named as one of the “Best 10 Restaurants in St. Louis" in 2005 by St. Louis Magazine, Mosaics Tapas Fusion’s popular modern fusion cuisine will be a welcome addition to Concourse A. Passengers will enjoy local celebrity Chef Claus Schmitz’s tapas and fusion style foods including the Tuna Tartar, Mosaic Pot Stickers and North African Style Hummus.

The Pasta House Co: Offering an enticing menu of more than 25 pasta varieties and 15 specialty chicken, beef, and seafood entrées, The Pasta House Co. is a combination of good tasting Italian and authentic “old country” flavor. Airport visitors will select from a variety of signature dishes including the famous 12-layer Lasagna Al Forno and the house Special Salad of iceberg and romaine lettuces, artichokes, pimentos and Parmesan cheese. Located in the Main Terminal, an assortment of appetizers, sandwiches and desserts also will be offered, along with a selection of wines and cocktails.

Fitz’s Root Beer: Opening in the Concourse C and D food court, Fitz’s Root Beer has been the root beer of choice among St. Louisans since 1947. Several kinds of burgers, an assortment of appetizers, salads and entrées will accompany the root beer selection. The restaurant also will offer desserts including Fitz’s Neapolitan brownie.

Missouri Wine Bar: Opening in the Main Terminal, Missouri Wine Bar will offer travelers the luxury of wine tasting at the airport. Local boutique vineyards and award-winning varietals will anchor the selection of tastings by the glass. Designed to complement the featured wines, the menu will include artisanal breads and salads of fresh greens, nuts, cheeses, olives and fruits. For those with an appetite, Missouri Wine Bar also will serve food from nearby Brioche Dorée Café.

Brioche Dorée: Upscale, quick and casual, offering travelers affordable and authentic café food. With two airport locations—Concourse A as well as the Main Terminal, Brioche Dorée is set in a country French atmosphere that captivates customers with the authentic fresh aromas of bread and pastry baking. Guests will enjoy an array of hand made sandwiches, healthy garden salads, artisan breads, gourmet pastries and custom roasted coffees.

Baja Fresh: Award-winning and cutting-edge, Baja Fresh is a Mexican restaurant that uses only the freshest ingredients to create exceptional burritos, fajitas, tacos, salads and quesadillas. Fire-grilled meats, homemade salsas and handmade tortillas set it apart from ordinary fast food. Lemon Grass Joins Sacramento International Airport (SMF) Plus More New Food Choices for Passengers

The Lemon Grass Asian Grill and Bar recently opened in Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and is located in the Terminal A food court. Other new additions are Zia/Saladworks, Quizno's and Starbucks.

Passengers at Sacramento International Airport are enjoying a wider variety of dining options, thanks to some new restaurants. This week,local favorite Lemon Grass opens atthe airport. Known for its casual Southeast Asian dining, Lemon Grassoffers curry dishes, Thai and Vietnamese noodles, salads, and salad rolls. The new restaurant also serves breakfast items from La Bou Bakery Café.

The Lemon Grass Asian Grill and Bar is located post-security in the Terminal A food court next to Burger King, and is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visit www.LemonGrassRestaurant.com for more information, including menus. “We are excited to add a bit of local flavor like Lemon Grass to the airport” said Director of Airports G. The two other Lemon Grass restaurants are located in East Sacramento. The first location opened in 1988 in collaboration with the owners of La Bou Bakery Café. Since then, Lemon Grass has become a popular local eatery, and has been recognized as one of the best Southeast Asian restaurants in the United States.

In addition to Lemon Grass, two more new restaurants are now open in the Terminal A food court. Quizno’s, serving freshly-made sandwiches and salads, is next to Lemon Grass. Zia/Saladworks offers smoothies and a salad bar next to Cinnabon.

Starbucks recently opened postsecurity in Terminal B2. In Terminal B1, another post-security Starbucks is opening soon near United Airlines’ gates. More food is also coming soon to the lower level of Terminal B, with the addition of a Zia next to Chili’s Too.

Buffalo Niagara International Airport Gets New Restaurants - Including the Anchor Bar (and their famous chicken wings!)

It's soon going to be worth the trip to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport just for the food. With Anderson's Frozen Custard (also famous for “Beef on a Weck”) and the Anchor Bar (the “Home of the original Buffalo Chicken Wings”) coming in about a year, you just need to make a quick trip to the airport to enjoy some of Buffalo's most famous food.

Buffalo, NY (May/June 2008) -- Anderson's, Villa Pizza, Checkers, Freshens and even The Anchor Bar will now have a permanent place at the airport, so travelers can enjoy their famous wings. These restaurants are joining the menu at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport as part of a sweeping concessions makeover that will include a sit-down food court. The new food court will be situated just beyond the new security checkpoint in the East Concourse. These restaurants should be available for your enjoyment in about a year. Anderson's will find a home in what is now Jake's Bistro & News, near Gate 21. "We want to provide a great airport experience, but also make it a hometown experience," said Nicholas Biello, chief operating officer of Delaware North's Travel Hospitality Services division. The 10-year-old airport's security checkpoint is also getting a $7.2 million relocation and expansion as part of the changes.

Delaware North, which oversees food and retail services at more than 30 airports worldwide, conducted an in-airport survey to determine the best menu mix. Work is already under way to create the Blue Zone, a bar/restaurant that will target passengers using Gates 1-4. New dining options will also be available for those travelers and visitors not able or wanting to pass through the security checkpoint.

Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services Completes Renovation of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

Contract extension results in new concepts for the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport's customers.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (June 3, 2008) - Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world's leading airport food and retail providers, announced renovation completions at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The renovation project began in February of 2007 after the company inked a seven-year extension with the City of Phoenix Aviation Department.

Through the renovations, Delaware North introduces five new fresh and exciting concepts for travelers at the airport. These include an Ocotillo Sun restaurant, Round Table Pizza, Phoenix All Stars bar, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Paradise Bakery & Café.

Ocotillo Sun, a casual dining and family restaurant opened in June of 2007 in a pre-security section of the airport. That same month, Round Table Pizza opened in the main concourse of the aiport.

Delaware North opened Phoenix All Stars Sports Bar in November 2007, a local concept which received inspiration from other sports bars operated by the company.

Renovations and enhancements continued into 2008 with the opening of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Paradise Bakery & Café in January of 2008.

"One of our core philosophies at Travel Hospitality Services is to provide travelers with a wide array of choices so they can select the tastes and flavors they enjoy," said Travel Hospitality Services president Matt King. "We've put that into action at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and believe these new renovations add to the guest experience at the airport."

Delaware North has managed food and retail at the airport since 1986 and these new concepts replaced previous Delaware North operations. All operations can be found in the airport’s Terminal Two.
