Marisa Iocco, renowned Boston Chef brings her Italian Cuisine to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) beginning August 2009

Logan International Airport (BOS) - Boston - July 2009 -- The Dine Boston program at Boston Logan International Airport has brought the food of renowned local chefs to the airport restaurant for travelers to enjoy. Local chefs are featured for a period of 3 months. The latest chef to be featured in the Dine Boston airport restaurant will be Chef Marisa Iocco, who is the consulting executive chef at Spiga, and is also involved in other Boston area restaurants such as Mare and Umbria. The featured cuisine is Italian, and the menu will include antipasti called All About Mozzarella, which includes panzanella salad, baby ripe tomatoes, basil, bread and olive oil; Seven Spices Chicken, brick oven-roasted and served with smashed Yukon gold potatoes and Meyer lemon spicy ragu; and Chef Iocco's own Bread Pudding, made from a secret recipe, according the press release from BAA Boston, the developer and manager of the Logan International Airport Airmall.

The Dine Boston airport restaurant is located in Terminal E pre-security. The description from the Logan Airport website is: "Stylish dining concept by former Red Sox outfielder Darren Lewis features a menu inspired by some of Boston's top restaurants and chefs celebrating the wonderful tastes of New England. Full-service restaurant and bar. Located pre-security. (617) 567-5700 ". The exact start date of Chef Iocco's menu at Dine Boston is not given, but presumably is at the beginning of August, as the press event is being held on August 4, 2009.

Jerry Remys Sport Bar and Grill Recently Opened at Boston Logan International Airport

Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill at Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS) features food, full bar and tv's, and occasionally Jerry Remy himself!

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) (April 2009) -- Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill opened at Boston's Logan Airport late fall 2008. It is located in Terminal C, pre-security, in the Departure Level Food Court. Enjoy classic New England fare offered up by this Hall of Famer and President of Red Sox Nation. The restaurant has room for 115 diners, and its menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and comfort food, with the macaroni and cheese being the signature dish. The restaurant also features beer, wine and full bar, and has a bar you can sit at as well. Some of the food is shown, and the mac and cheese and the hot dog do look fantastic! A second location is in the works near Fenway Park.

According to the Boston Globe, Jerry Remy himself will be addressing fans at his restaurant to inform them of what is in store this season for the Red Sox on April 17, 2009 from noon to 2 pm. Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) Opens Upscale Food Court

Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS) has a new flashy upscale food court.

After a $5.5 million upgrade of Boston's Logan International Airport's Terminal C's food court, its Dunkin' Donuts now is the largest one at airports nationwide - and the only one with a trendy lounge. Designers persuaded seven restaurants - also including Currito Burritos Without Borders, Ryo Asian Fusion, Famous Famiglia, and Jerry Remy's Sports Bar & Grill - to splurge on expensive countertops and eye-catching architecture. You want to grab their eye," said Steve Dumas, senior vice president of retail design for Westfield Corp., whose subsidiary manages Terminal C's concession program.

Airportwide, concession sales for the fiscal year ended June 30 increased 7.5 percent to $145 million, up from $135 million the year before. That's good news for the Massachusetts Port Authority, which runs Boston's Logan airport and pockets about 11 percent of concession revenues, or $15.9 million in the last fiscal year. Jack Hemphill, Massport's aviation business general manager, bets total concession sales will keep improving as food court renovations continue. Logan was the North American airport with the fourth-highest food and beverage sales per arriving or departing passenger in calendar 2007, according to the annual list that Airport Revenue News plans to release next week. Last year, each Boston flier spent $5.77 on food and beverages, on average, up from $5.50 in 2006. Increasing per-passenger concession revenue is important for Massport as fewer flights and travelers use the airport due to high jet fuel costs and concerns about the economy.

Cisco Brewbub at Boston's Logan Aiport (BOS) Serve Nantucket Beer, Wine and Spirits

Boston's Logan International Airport (BOS) has a new dining and drinking establishment on Terminal B, serving beer, wine and spirits from Nantucket Island. Other terminal have local beer from Boston Beer Works, Harpoon and Sam Adams.

Boston -- Logan Airport (August 16, 2008) -- Recently opened in Terminal B, is Cisco Brewpub. Cisco Brewpub serves food, as well as the beer of Nantucket's Cisco Brewery as well as wines from sister companies Nantucket Vinyards and spirits from Triple Eight Distillary. It is open from 5am to 9pm daily.

If you are looking for beer in Terminal C, the Boston Beer Works recently opened there on the Jet Blue concourse. Boston Beer works is a local brewpub, and the beers are on tap at this establishment.

In Terminal A, Delta, one can enjoy beers from another local brewery, Harpoon. Harpoon is also a Boston Brewery / Brewpub and in addition to their beers, they also serve a pub menu.

Sam Adams reportedly also has locations pre-secuity in Terminals A and post-secuity in Terminal E.

This is information that was obtained from multiple sources, including BAA which operates Logan Airport's "AirMall". Unfortunately it is difficult to confirm on the Logan International Airport website, since they don't appear to update it often, and BAA's site is not that great either. Any information you can add would be welcome.
