Major Las Vegas Conventions, Meetings and Events

If you have any flexibility in the dates on which you wish to travel, it is always best to make sure you are not choosing a time to go to a city during a major convention or other major event. Las Vegas can have a number of huge gatherings each year, but also be wary of the weeks where there are multiple intermediate sized conferences, as the total number of attendees can be quite large. Remember, Las Vegas does have an enormous amount of hotel rooms, so it takes a fairly large convention to have a significant effect, however the effect on the McCarran airport, flight delays and flight overbooking, traffic, cabs and shuttles can effect your travels, and increased volume can also translate into increased time and cost.
